To address one of the most frequent requests—

“It’s troublesome to create a new converter every time the data format changes or a new measurement device is added”

we are pleased to announce the release of i-FLEX, a new product in the INDEQS series.

Overview

i-FLEX automatically converts data from measurement instruments (such as CSV or TXT text files) and data entry files created in Excel into the INDEQS standard format (JSON).
As long as the data follows a consistent pattern, most formats can be handled by the standard modules.

Within i-FLEX’s configuration interface, users can define mapping rules to convert data into the INDEQS format.
Files can first be tested and verified in manual conversion mode to confirm that the output behaves as expected.
Once a mapping rule is finalized, it can be registered in Auto Mode.
i-FLEX will then automatically convert all files of the same format without further user intervention.

Supported Data Types

  • Excel Files
    • i-FLEX supports Excel data arranged in either rows or columns.
Even if blank rows or columns are present, or if the final data row varies between files, the system reliably identifies and converts all valid data.
    • During mapping rule creation, Excel itself is used together with i-FLEX to define data ranges intuitively.
Once the mapping configuration file has been created, Excel is no longer required—file conversion can be performed even on servers without Microsoft Office installed.
  • CSV Files
Like Excel data, CSV files with structured row- or column-based layouts are supported.
i-FLEX can process files regardless of whether they include header or label rows.
    • CSV Example Applications
      • Mitutoyo 3D coordinate measuring machine data files
      • Tokyo Seimitsu (ZEISS) CMM software Calypso data files
(Now directly readable by INDEQS without a converter)
      • Keyence IM Series
      • Nikon NEXIV image measuring systems
      • Hitachi Systems i-Reporter CSV files
      • WENZEL (Quartis) CMM data files

In addition, i-FLEX supports numerous other data sources such as inline temperature and thickness sensors.
For irregular or proprietary data formats—or other general formats like JSON and XML—custom i-FLEX modules can be added.

If you provide sample files, we can typically deliver module support within seven business days.

Seamless Integration

i-Collector uploads the data, converted by i-Flex, to the integrated database, enabling unified data monitoring and analysis across various measurement devices.
